The first foal of 2010 is a palomino solid filly. She was born 1-25-10. The pics above were taken at 13 days of age. Will update pictures as I get them. She is out of our mare April Two Mount. I named her Spunky, because it fits her to a T!! This filly is a chunk! Has a lively disposition, but is very smart and is learning quickly. Her momma is crippled and this filly may be her future replacement. We were hoping for spots, but at least we got a nice filly!

This picture is of our 2nd baby. Another Palomino Solid.....but, what a nice baby!! He is out of our mare Sunday Funny Page. Page is a dtr of Page Impressive and out of the dam to California Skip!! That makes page a half sister to BOTH Mr. Yella Fella and Calif Skip!

We thought Bonnie would foal AFTER Sparkle, but surprised us by foaling this morning! We weren't even watching her in the barn! Bonnie is our black overo mare. Sired by Texas Tea Allstar. She is a friendly mare on the ground, but can't be ridden. She spent the summer last year on a bucking string. We didn't know she had taken! If the foal were a buckskin, we were going to name it bucky......not because of it's color, but because of it's in utero career! Ha.. We were trying to see if Bonnie would get over her bucking, but nope. She didn't. Just got to where she wasn't bucking hard enough for the string! Never did quit. So, now she is relagated to being a broodmare......and, she seems to do that very well! This colt is a big one. He's almost as large as our other colt that is a month old! No name yet. He may carry several genes.....he will carry the black gene, creme gene and possibly both the sabino and rabicano gene! Could be quite the color producer for someone!

We are waiting on Sparkle's baby. Should be here any time! Sparkle is reg. as Shesa Sparklin Chex. This will be her 3rd foal. Her 1st colt, Gilbert is shown below and he's the 2007 buckskin tobiano colt that we kept as a Jr. Stallion.
